Returning from our trip to Arashiyama, we strolled in the direction of Watanuki Bridge, hungrily searching for a tasty treat. At that moment, a unique dessert store, Old Pine, seemed to be secretly looking at us.

Evening Citrus Candy: The name alone conjures up images. It is a dessert made from fresh pomelo, which has been carefully candied to create a crystal clear, soft and Q-tip pomelo flesh that melts in your mouth.
The natural aroma of citrus and sweet and sour intertwine in the mouth with the sweetness of candied, while maintaining the freshness of citrus. This signature dessert is the embodiment of the yuzu genie.

Matcha Chanten Red Bean Ice: We created this name ourselves. It is created from Chanten (agar) and Matcha, a representative of traditional Japanese desserts.
The soft hanten and the light tea flavor of matcha melt in your mouth. The bitter-sweet matcha matches perfectly with the refreshing hanten, bringing a layered taste experience.

Summer Mandarin: essentially a fruit smoothie. Shuko's cry of “too much sun” under the scorching sun is a subliminal message of relief from the heat. This smoothie combines the freshness of citrus fruit with the bittersweetness of matcha, and with one sip, the heat instantly dissipates.

The three desserts totaled 3,300 yen. For such wonderful taste and service, I have to rate it 5 stars.
Laosatsu is not just a dessert store, it is a sweet trap during the trip to Arashiyama, which made us fall deep into it and enjoy not thinking about Arashiyama.
