Around Hakone and Mt. Fuji Often play together in a row Hakone is famous for its autumn foliage season and snow season The area around Mt. Fuji can be enjoyed in all seasons

🤗 Day1 Shinjuku - Yumoto - Gora

If you're visiting Hakone alone, we recommend buying the Odakyu Hakone 2-Day or 3-Day Pass, which currently costs 6,100-6,500 yen for adults. This pass includes a round-trip ticket from Shinjuku to Hakone, which is still a great deal! If you want to bring Fuji with you, you can buy a Hakone Fuji 3-Day Pass~
The cost of a three-day Hakone Fuji pass is 9,340 yen. This fee covers most of the transportation in the Hakone area, bus fares from Hakone to Gotemba to Lake Kawaguchiko, and offers discounts on a wide range of attractions in the Hakone area and around Fuji.
From Shinjuku Station, take the Odakyu Line to Hakone-Yumoto Station. If you don't take the Romance Express, the whole journey is 2.5 hours, and if you take the Romance Express, the time will be shortened by an hour, but you will have to pay more than 1,000 yen extra.
From Yumoto, you can take a tozan train or bus to Gora and Sengokuhara.

The Sculpture Museum of Art in Gora is the first outdoor art museum in Japan to focus on sculpture. There are many works of master carvers here, and the most attractive of them is probably the spiral staircase surrounded by mosaic stained glass~ It can be said to be a must-visit place!
notion image
When you visit Senshihara, you must visit the Glass No Mori Museum of Art. Its main building resembles a medieval European villa, as if it were a fairy tale. The museum, stores and cafes are spread out in the garden.
notion image
notion image
The gallery exhibits works from Venice and modern Venice from the 15th to the 19th centuries. In addition, many valuable glass items such as cobalt blue goblets inherited by the Rothschild family are also on display.
notion image
Amazing is the Gift Tree Fountain, which glows in the light. The brightly lit trees, springs and waterfalls are all made of a glass sphere and are very delicate and beautiful.
notion image
You can also try your hand at medieval costumes for a Venetian experience!
notion image
In Hakone, soaking in hot springs is also a must. There are many hot spring hotels here, with international brands such as Hyatt, and local B&Bs such as Huan Cui Lou, Snow Moon Flower and Suimei Sho ...…
notion image
We recommend that you try the traditional Japanese ryokan style of "one berth, two meals", where breakfast and dinner are served in the ryokan. It is worthwhile to try the Japanese-style set meal as it is very tasty!

🤗 Day2 Owakudani - Lake Ashi - Moto-Hakone

When you come to Hakone, you must ride the mountain gondola. Departing from Gora, you will go to Hayakumo-san Station, then board the cable car and pass by Owakudani Station on the way. This is the remains of a caldera formed by a major volcanic eruption that occurred in the northern belly of Kamiyama at the end of Hakone's volcanic activity about 400,000 years ago. It is quite interesting to stop here and eat a black egg cooked in hot spring water.
notion image
It takes only 15 minutes from Owakudani to Lake Ashinoko. Visitors can choose to transfer to a pirate ship at Momoyendai Station to travel to Hakone Town.
notion image
The appearance of the pirate ship is quite beautiful, and the photo with Mt. Fuji is also a scene that many people like to take~
notion image
After stopping at Hakone-machi Port, you can wander around the streets and alleys of the city! This is a must-visit place, and I recommend the Yosegi Museum of Art.
notion image
There are very cute secret boxes made of different wood veneers that take several steps to open, and are great for storing small items like wedding rings and jewelry! There are also many surprises in visiting the museum, so you can go and have fun by yourself~
notion image
A little further on, you'll come to Enji-Hakone Park. From the observation deck here, you can see a beautiful view of Lake Ashinoko, Mt. Fuji in the distance, and the torii of Hakone Shrine.
notion image
The Narukawa Museum of Art in Moto-Hakone has an average collection, but it has an oversized glass window and is a great place to take pictures of Mount Fuji.
notion image
There is a very famous soba shop in Moto-Hakone called Fukasho そば. Soba noodles are a ubiquitous delicacy in Hakone, and it is said that even the emperor loved it.
notion image
notion image
In Moto-Hakone toward the mountains, there is a famous small store, Ganju Chaya, which has existed since the Edo period. The rich and sweet sweet sake is the best comfort for passersby.
notion image
notion image
Before returning to Motohakamachi Port, you can visit Hakone Shrine to see the huge torii standing in the lake. Couples love to take photos here!

🤗 Day3 Hakone - Gotemba Outlet - Lake Kawaguchi

On the third day of your pass, we recommend visiting the Gotemba Outlets for a bit, then heading to Lake Kawaguchiko to maximize the use of your pass ~ since you need to change trains, a stopover here is a good choice for both relaxation and economy.
notion image
After arriving at Kawaguchiko Station and checking into a neighboring hotel, you can first visit the Music Forest Art Museum. The main European-style building is well-designed inside, where you can not only listen to concerts featuring centuries-old pianos, accordions, and orchestral instruments, but also see miniature landscapes.
notion image
notion image
The Music Forest is beautifully draped in lights in the evening. The silhouette of Mt. Fuji in the setting sun, along with the buildings, makes for a great photo location~
notion image
If you get to Kawaguchiko early, you can take a stroll through Boulder Park. Boulder Park is famous for its flowers and cafes, and there are a lot of people taking photos here. If you come here in spring and summer, you can see a large sea of flowers, which is very photogenic!
notion image

🤗 Day4 Amagiyama Park - Shimoyoshida - Lake Yamanaka

At Kawaguchiko, Amagoyama Park is a must-see attraction. Take the cable car up to the top of the mountain, where you can see Mt. Fuji clearly from the observation deck. There is also a love clock on the mountain, which is a favorite among couples.
notion image
If you have time, buy Mt. Fuji shaped bread at Fujisan Shokupan, it's pretty and delicious!
notion image
After strolling around Tenkanzan, take a bus to Shimoyoshida, where there is plenty to do!
notion image
Fuji-Q Highland in Shimoyoshida is a theme park full of excitement and thrills, and it holds the Guinness Book of Records for its roller coasters and other programs! It also has many anime-themed park programs for visitors of all ages.
notion image
After visiting this place, you can walk to the street where the Hinokawa Timepiece Shop is located. With Mt. Fuji looming in the background, you don't find Japanese streetscapes like this everywhere~ You can also take care of your meals and other things here.
notion image
If you still have time after shopping, you can go to Lake Yamanaka and take a ride on the Lake Shiratori excursion boat. The swan-shaped boat and Mt. Fuji reflect each other beautifully~
notion image
When you return to Shinjuku from Kawaguchiko, you can send postcards from the mailbox at Kawaguchiko Station. This mailbox is so beautiful that it's a great place to visit.
