📝 Transportation Tips
If you are traveling to the Takayama Hokuriku area, you can start from Kyoto or Osaka and go all the way along the Ascending Path Loop, Osaka/Kyoto - Kanazawa - Amagaru - Shintakaoka - Toyama - Shirakawa-go - Takayama Hida - Gero Onsen - Nagoya, and this is the most convenient way to travel without backtracking.
🤗 Day1 Kyoto-Kanazawa
Kanazawa is about 2 and a half hours from Kyoto on the JR Thunderbird limited express train. Kanazawa is a small town with a long history and has been one of the major centers of culture and art since the Edo period.
01 Omi-cho Market

01 Miyagawa Asaichi

02 Hie Shrine
One of the original locations of “Your Name,” several scenes of which were reproduced in the movie, Hie Shrine is located about 2 kilometers from Takayama Station, about a 20-minute walk away, and is a famous shrine in Takayama.
03 Hezhang Village
There are two viewpoints in Hapu Village, and it is recommended that you take a bus up the mountain and walk down. The highest point is Tenshukaku, which offers a 360-degree view of the secret place. Hagi Machi Castle is less than 100 meters away from Tenshokaku, and on the way down, you can take pictures of the beautiful scenery.
