🤗 01 Toyohashi - Yanno Matsuri
The “Yanno Matsuri” is the largest hand-held fireworks display in the Mikawa area of Aichi Prefecture, and has a long history. The show lasts for more than two hours, with up to 23 people lighting hand-held fireworks at the same time, and with the accompaniment of Taiko drums, the flames reach up to 10 meters high, making it a powerful event.
There are many stage performances and the most tantalizing food stalls before the festival begins.

🤗 02 Kiso River - Cormorant Fishing
The Japanese word “Ugai” is a method of fishing with cormorants that has been practiced for 1,300 years. Today, there are four “Ugai (fishermen who tame cormorants to catch fish)” including a woman who performs here.
In the afternoon, you can swim along the Kiso River with a boatman, order a special bento in advance and take a boat ride to see the old Inuyama Castle, and then in the evening, after eating and drinking, you can watch the fishermen catching fish.
The best feature of the whole fishing process is that it can be viewed from a close distance. The sightseeing boat and the fishing boat are very close to each other, so you can clearly watch the skillful command of the fisherman and the whole process of the cormorant fishing, and you can even feel the fiery breath and splashing water. The scene of a roaring bonfire reflecting on the surface of the river in the darkness of the night makes you feel like going back to the classical era.

🤗 03 Meiji village
Meiji Village is a large park that preserves and displays Japanese architecture from the Meiji era. One of the most notable buildings in the park is the central entrance of the old Imperial Hotel, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, one of the three great architects of the 20th century. In addition to being struck by its grandeur, I was amazed at the amount of effort it took to build such a large and detailed building, which was moved from Tokyo and rebuilt in its original form brick by brick.
