Aman's Sister Brand, The Pagoda at Your Eyesight
On March 13th, 2024, JANU Tokyo, the sister brand of Aman, opened its doors.
Located in Azabudai no Hills, the center of last year's conversation, and because it's JANU's first hotel in the world, the buffs add up to JANU Tokyo earning a lot of eyeballs right off the bat~.
Unlike previous Aman properties, JANU is a Sanskrit word meaning "soul", which coincides with the concept of the Mabutai no Hills "city within a city" community, both of which advocate the creation of more human connections through human interaction.
The hotel remains in the hands of legendary Denniston hotel designer Jean-Michel Gathy, who is an Aman royal.
The classic Asian style interior and modern European style design is elegant and restrained with modern aesthetic details, and the space is skillfully utilized with translucent glass materials to bring natural light into the interior and give the space a rich sense of hierarchy.
The intricate latticework on the ceiling of the lobby incorporates the element of braided rope arches (a modern interpretation of the traditional Japanese rope injection technique), allowing guests to feel the charm of traditional Japanese culture.
The 122 rooms are located on the 6th to 13th floors and vary in size, but with a suite size starting at 96 square meters, it's definitely a top-notch presence in the inch-perfect Mabutai.
And the luxury doesn't stop there, as most of the hotel's rooms have private balconies, where no buildings block the view and you can fully immerse yourself in the majesty of the Tokyo Tower and the city skyline.
In the dining section, the newly opened Janu Tokyo features six restaurants, as well as a bar, lounge and garden terrace. What's it like to eat all the world's specialties in one place? You can get it here!
The restaurant serves both traditional cuisine and creative dishes from culinary experts, ranging from a lively Italian restaurant to a sophisticated Cantonese restaurant as well as sushi and contemporary style charcoal grilled meats, perfectly echoing the echoing the brand's philosophy of "Connect, Balance and Explore".
In addition to the food and beverage section, JANU Toky's wellness center is also a major attraction.
It covers an area of 4,000 square meters. From the spa, hot springs, Japanese baths, Russian sauna and hammam, to indoor cycling, boxing, golf, aerial yoga, Pilates space, to 9 treatment rooms and a rehab studio equipped with hyperbaric oxygen therapy chambers ......
